A sweet reward that grew from our home made compost!

Last week we looked at how we compost our scraps to keep our soil healthy and reduce our waste. Some keen readers may have noticed something else...another little surprise growing from the compost...a fresh, juicy delicious home grown watermelon.

A juicy, vibrant red melon freshly picked from the garden. How simple is that! Naturally, the skin and seeds were returned to the compost to kickstart the growing cycle once more.
